Apple Juice Cake Filling
Preparation
A yummy apple filling to use between the layers of your favourite cake!
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Makes: For 1 Cake
Ingredients
1/2 cup (125 mL)
sugar
3 Tbsp. (45 mL)
corn starch
1/3 tsp. (1.6 mL)
salt
1 1/4 cups (310 mL)
SunRype Pure Apple Juice
1 tsp. (5 mL)
lemon juice
1 tsp. (5 mL)
grated lemon rind
Instructions
Combine together in a heavy saucepan, sugar, corn starch and salt. Gradually stir in SunRype Apple Juice, lemon juice and grated lemon rind. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and allow to cool before spreading between cake layers.
